O quartzo, que \u00e9 o mineral mais comum na se\u00e7\u00e3o apresenta-se granular, sub-\u00e9drico a an\u00e9drico, com extin\u00e7\u00e3o ondulante. O plagiocl\u00e1sio apresenta-se tambem granular, sub-\u00e9drico a an\u00e9drico, e frequentemente esta sercitizado. Clorita ocorre sempre associada aos cristais de biotita, aparentemente substituindo os mesmos. Zirc\u00e3o e muscovita ocorrem como acess\u00f3rio.",
